Ta'aroa

Ta'aroa (also known as Kanaloa in Hawaii) is a major Polynesian God of Creation. To the Maori people, he is god of the Ocean (Tangaroa). In Samoa, he is called Tagaloa, and is married to Sina (also known as Hina). He threw stones from heaven that became the numerous Samoan Islands. The moon is one of his chief places of residence.
